  •  I was all excited until I realized by hubby's birthday is the day before. He probably wouldn't like me being gone.

  •  Thanks Cathy. I have most of my hiking pictures posted on my Facebook page. If you have an account, look me up and friend me. My profile name is April Jones Lowry. It was a great day - the snow was so pretty. :)

  •  Actually they have different length options each day, beginning with the 25 mile range or so. That weekend is always special because Madison is so beautiful, the land around it rolling & gorgeous and we always seem to hit perfect weather. I camped last year, other years I've moteled.

Anyway, I'll let you in on any other events I decide to do this year! I'm trying to get my courage to start riding again, it's been so cold! I have a lot of cold weather gear, so I don't have any excuses.

  •  Thanks Cathy! Did you want to participate in the whole Brag Spring tuneup (3 day event) or were you thinking of starting a little smaller - like a one day event?

  •  Hi Cathy...the Lowe's is on GA 20, but in Buford, by I-285

  •  Hi Cathy. Sigh...I'm still learning the area and got completely turned around. I found the place but you all were gone. No worries, though. Look forward to catching you all the next time around!

  •  Hi Cathy,
How old is your son? I just joined the group and even though I haven't had the opportunity to explore with you guys I am excited to meet all of you and join in on the fun. I have a 12 year old son (soon 13) and would love for him to get interested in going on some fun adventures. Any suggestions? Thanks and hope to meet you soon.

  •  Hey Cathy - no worries! I enjoyed walking around the gardens and was glad I made it to the Fantasy In Lights. Thanks for making it all possible!!! I love your photographs and the artistry you brought to them. I downloaded a few to add to my collection as well.

  •  Thanks Cathy! I'll go in and change my RSVP then. I've been wanting to do this since I found out about it. Looking forward to it.

  •  You're quite welcome! You should still go because it's an awesome place. Joy Joyner (manager at Prov. Canyon) is now at Florence Marina State Park: [masked]

  •  Hey. I work for Ga State Parks and tried to post this, but it's too long.

Here's an update on this park. Due to budget cuts, the park's Visitor Center is now closed. Trails are still open, but you have to get your Canyon Climbers Club card punched at Florence Marina State Park down the road. (Can't buy it there.) Also, parking is now $5 at all state parks. Florence M. has efficiency rooms too. www.GaStateParks.org

  •  Hi Cathy, I just paid for the kayaking trip. I just want to confirm the address for carpooling: 5580 Windward Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA. That is correct?

    Thanks.

  •  Hi Cathy..It was to see you again..Thanks for everything :)

    Laura Aponte (Jul 14, 2009 12:42 AM)
  •  Hi Cathy, yes that was me hiking with Carla on the 4th. We deviated from the plan slightly by kayaking and that set us somewhat behind for the beginning of the hike. Afterwards we had dinner at Wylies and then didn't see the group, but still saw the fireworks show from the Gold Museum area. Then we beat the traffic out by taking a side street.
Also...I appreciate your time and dedication to setting up all the details that this takes. Thank you!

  •  Cathy, you are welcome. I like the Brad and myself picture as well. I would be better if we could have a group picture that day.
