Many of you expressed an interest to paddle during the week. Here is your chance.

We will meet at Up the River Outfitters on Hwy 20 and get shuttled to Buford Dam. We will paddle from there to Settles Bridge. This can take from 2 to 4 hours depending on the group, so as always, bring a lite lunch or snacks.

If you have not paddled this section before, it is very pretty with lots of little shoals, several class I rapids and one for real class II.

If you have your own boat, it is going to be $10 for the shuttle to the dam and then from Settles Bridge back to your car. $10 covers both ways, a real bargain.

If you do not have a boat, then you can get a real deal. You can get a boat and the shuttle for just $15.00. So if you have any friends you want to bring who do not have equipment, this is a great opportunity.
