This is from David Castaldini, Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor. David was the lead instructor for the Wilderness First Aid Courses we had this year. This is a great opportunity to combine 3 great events into one memorable weekend.

I am offering a fun filled weekend of camping, white water rafting and training with a CPR Class plus a 2 day wilderness first aid class on October 16th, 17th and 18th at the Eagle Adventure Company. www.eagleadventures.com

American Heart Association CPR will be taught Friday night from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. The cost will be $30.00 per person.

We will be cooking dinner at 6pm for anyone that wants to come up. You will bring your own food for Friday night. We will fire up the grill. Camping will be $12.00 that night. IF you want the CPR and/or Friday camping, you will pay that separately by check when you arrive on Friday. Just let us know in the remarks when you sign up if you will be coming up for the CPR. You can also come up Friday to camp even if you do not want CPR. You will also be responsible for your breakfast Saturday morning.

The Wilderness First Aid Class will be Saturday and Sunday 9am to 5pm.

We will have lunch and dinner at Eagle Ranch and teach the class in the pavilion. On Sunday we will have breakfast and then get ready to head down the middle section of the Ocoee River for first aid scenarios on the banks of the river. Lunch will also be provided. Everyone will be in a raft with a guide as you paddle down the river keeping your eyes open for emergencies. If someone is a class 3 or 4 boater they can bring their own boat on the trip and be a responder.

The total cost for lodging bunk houses, or camping (Saturday night) and 4 meals plus First aid class and rafting trip on the middle Ocoee will be $249.00.

People should bring a sleeping bag, pillow and towels for the bunk houses. You don't even have to bring a tent! Of course, if you prefer a tent, that is fine also.

I have been doing this same class every year for the past 10 years. I have been guiding rafts on Ocoee since 1992 and will be the lead guide on the trip.
